This is a small anagama I built with my students in the IU Southeast Ceramics program. It is roughly based on the “manabigama” style of wood kilns, although I modified the design with a barrel arch and vertical walls. I also made the kiln longer so we could have a side-stoking hole about three-quarters of the way back in the kiln.
