Flagstaff Kiln

This is the kiln that I designed and built with Marshall Maude, Joel Davis, Amber Nassif, Adam Welch, Chuck Owens, and others at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.  It was built on a shoe string budget during late 1999 and early 2000.  The 50′ x 30′ timber frame shed was finished in November of 2000, just in time for Don Bendel’s retirement celebration where we fired all of the wood firing kilns at the same time.
