St. Pete Kiln

In 2003, I was hired by the St. Petersburg Clay Company to design and build a 30′ anagama wood firing kiln in conjunction with a kiln building event where myself and Don Reitz ran a kiln building workshop to build 4 kilns in 2 weeks. I was in charge of the anagama and Don was in charge of the train kiln, salt kiln, and soda kiln. Jake Allee was also integral to success of this project as he assisted in every stage of the building and first firings of these kilns. Many thanks to all of the people involved in the St. Petersburg Clay Company for giving me the opportunity to be involved in this amazing project.
